Speaker Spotlight: Caroline Karanja
Say hello to Caroline Karanja!
Caroline Karanja is an experienced founder, developer, children’s book author and the CEO of HACK THE GAP.
Her mission is to hack the gender gap in tech. Through Hack the Gap, she is building a bridge for underrepresented tech entrepreneurs in a sector where 83% of executives are white, and 80% are men. Hack the Gap is a community-driven initiative focused on getting and keeping women and non-binary people in tech through hackathons, professional mentorships and career development opportunities. In 2020, Hack the Gap hosted 14 hackathons for 275 participants, launched a fellowship program with all women of color and hosted its first international hackathon.
Join us on March 25 to hear from Caroline Karanja of Hack the Gap, Sierra Carter of The Zen Bin, and Shaundelle Darris of Hersiliency. As the finale to FeMNist Days, Showcase is a virtual activation to contribute $10,000 to three local entrepreneurs and the next big steps for their businesses. During the showcase you will hear these entrepreneurs pitch their business and you can vote to support your favorite idea with $100!
